SO I noticed a couple of people making sure they blog about the family pet.. I decided this was a good idea especially since I am quite attached to mine.
Now Before I go on. I should Point out that I really do love animals. And I do support the Humane way for all creatures. I also must admit that I am a somewhat conditional pet lover.. As long as the Cat or Dog does not give me very much grief and is healthy. I am all about it. But I do not have patients with animals that have quirks and irks.. For instance if a Cat poops out side the kitty litter box more often the he goes IN the kitty litter box. It doesn't take to many times of that, Before that cat is No longer My Cat. I lose all love for stuff like this.. If its a stinky cat( smelly cat, smelly cat. why are you following me) well I start refusing to love on it.. I could give a whole list of things I refuse to do with animals.. Call me shallow if you want.. it is what it is..

Here is a short list of all the Animals I have had.. and what has happend to them We have to start with the cats..
Tiki - was my first inside cat ever and was my very own. I got her in 6th grade.. I loved her.. she was a patient kitty. But she was a long hair cat and hair balls were annoying to clean up after..( don't freak out yet) She moved in with me after I was married.. but started pee'n and puking too much ( I just had Jameson ) So we had to put her down.. I cried alot on this one( had her almost 13yrs?)
Aggie- was actually Lou's Cat... Greg was allergic So Tiki and I adopted him He was beautiful Siamese cat.. with a cocky attitude... I liked him too. But Lou and I came home one day to find him unable to move.. Vet said he was too sick. so we had to put him down.. I cried on this one too. I felt bad for killing Lou's cat.(4-5yrs)
Rikku - a kitty i brought home from wal-mart one week before Ethan was born... he was a pain in the butt. .He was Hyper and he would attack the baby AND he would find all the Binky's and bottle nipples and chew them to bits. I would hide them behind me while I would burp Ethan. but that dumb cat always seems to find them.. Bit more then I could chew with him. so we found him a new home ( I think I made daily runs to wal mart for Binky's and bottle nipples cause of him)(6 mo.)
Dharma_ we adopted from the humane society.. I like her she was very beautiful. and a good kitty... Great mouser.. and bird catcher... she brought a half alive bird in my room one early morning while I was sleeping.. freaked me out.. I ran outside in my G's just to Catch Paul in the drive way so he could come get it out! She was so good with the kids! But she went out one day and never came back.( 1yr)
Psymon(Simon)- we adopted from H.S as well. He was just weird and needy...and he stunk!!! worst gas I swear!!!! None of us liked him at all.. So he went to live on a farm(8 mo.)
We swore of Cats for awhile mainly because we no longer lived in apartment that allowed them.. SO when we bought our house in South bend.. I decided to go look at the H.S just to see what they had... ( Paul did not want a dog at this point.)
SO I picked out a beautiful smokey Kitty.. I named him Atticus.. a great Cat.. Jameson fell in love with him instantly..

Well ,not two weeks later .. My girl Katie asked if we would like to take her dog. I already knew I liked her so after talking to Paul about it.. we went and picked her up... It did not take long for her to get used to us. and us to her.. She was used to cats so that wasn't to bad either... she did mother hen the cat too much at times and played a bit rough as well. but other then that.. It was perfect..
Unfortunetly the
cat went out one night and never came back..( we had him for about 6-8 mo..)and Jameson still gets upset that we have no cat. . .

SO now we just have our Dog. Her Name is Vedah ( original Name was Vader. but she's white and female.. so I switched it up!)
She is a white Lab mix( Mutt) and I just love her.. Worlds Best Dog ever!!! she has a very mild temperament. And never jumps on anyone or anything!!! She is a very fat and Lazy dog.. Even on easy walks she poops out! She Hates Baths and used to be scared of going down stairs..( starved for attention fixed that issue) She is so easy to handle. simply because she sulks if she gets a stern look from me. She has an only child attitude when it comes for need of attention and plays great with the kids. She stays close to Zoey when they are outside. And rough houses with Jameson and I. Now we do lose a shoe or two and a few toys as well to her.. And it is very irritating to keep losing these items. she runs and hides when she hears me Cuss"Damn Dog!" cause she knows she's in trouble. But even that problem is becoming more rare.( YAY!!!)

She is hilarious when It comes to the mail slot ( yes we have a mail slot ) She gets so excited over the mail! she barks like crazy, So I grab the mail and give her the junk mail to shred. She lives for this.. it is her favorite time of day! She just goes crazy when she knows the mail is here. and when I give her her "mail" she chews and shreds it. and is as happy as a lark. It is hilarious!
I never thought I would be a dog person.. But I so am, I just adore her!( she really is a sweetheart) I know I do not do small dogs. the bigger the better. And she is just perfect for our family! I
was so glad to adopt her.. ( lucky for us we didn't have to house break her, spay her, the Craig's did a great job there!!) So Katie and I call her"our" dog.. the only rule I have is Brent ( Katie's Hubby) is not allowed to pet her inside my house. she gets so excited over him she pee's! so he has to go outside to say hello to her and then they can come in! ( weirdest thing, he is only one that makes her do that!)

She sleeps in our room in her corner.. She does not get on our couches. she wipes her feet before she comes inside. Follows me around the house all day. And barks like crazy when the mail man comes. oh, And she loves to ride in the car, And waits as patiently as possible for Zoey to drop her food!( which is pretty much a guarantee.)
I lucked out getting her. And we adore her( even Paul does and he in not an animal person.)
I will forever suggest a Lab as a family pet. And this is my little tribute to our Pets. We have had Vedah for almost two years now.. and I have no desire to get a Cat, never thought that would happen!

Yay for my Vedah!!! GOOD DOG VEDAH! GOOD GIRL!!!!

Okay. That is just the funniest post for more than one reason. I was rolling with laughter at the thought of you running outside in your underwear because of the half-dead bird, although I imagine I would have done the same thing. I cannot believe how alike our dogs are. Sounds like they would get along well. I've always thought it kind of strange that Ellie sleeps in our room instead of with one of the kids but I'm glad to know she's not the only one. Ellie also does not get on furniture but she does jump on people when she gets really excited. My mom gets really mad when she's the target. I'm also like you in that the bigger the dog, the better. Don't like little dogs.
That was a fun post! Poor Tiki, Poor Aggie! :( I didn't know you had a pet named Simon (Psymon?)....how did I miss that part??? Sorry he was stinky! My Simon tends to be smelly once in awhile too...but I think I'll keep him! :) I would like to get a dog at some point since Simon loves them so much, but I just don't want the mess! I think we are going to get a couple ducks for the yard though! :)
It's my baby! I miss my Vader. I am so glad you were able to take her. She has a great attitude and adores your family! Brent misses her too. Although he is glad he doesnt have to wait outside anymore
oh! all your pets!!!!!!!!!!! i HEART this post
