Kids . kids. kids

Alirght . . . So I decided that kids are just fantastic. I am watching Katie's 3 kids twice a week. Which is fine and they for the most part really good. But still children. and as we all know ( and if you don't have your child checked out please) That kids can cause a huge amount of mischief in a short amount of time. This week fun was Zoey giving Caroline (5) a hair cut. I didn't find out until they were heading out the door with their mom. I walked past my bathroom and there it was.... a very large chunk of hair!!!! I went running out the door with the chunk of hair yelling to Katie " who's is this?!!! I was about to die!!! What a great babysitter I am right?! well thank heaven Zoey is smaller then Caroline she cut the long hair right in front close to the chin. They came back later and I had the "oppertunity" to cut her hair same length ( chin length from the middle of the back!) Katie was cool about it. But I felt terrible. I am still trying to figure out where they found the scissors! I am still laughing. .My kids just know better. and I have ingrained in them that only mommy cuts their hair. Apparenlty Zoey did not get the message!( sigh!)
Jameson has had his very first after school detention. ( threw a snowball at some unsuspecting child) which is a very big No No at school. He was terrified. 1- because he forgot the note home which I was sapposed to sign. 2- he got in very big trouble and had to stay late the next day and did not know what to expect for his punishment. ( It was hard not to laugh at the poor kid) Paul came home 5 min after Jameson confessed. and I let him talk it out with him. While I put my head on the table and smiled! His punishment was he was in his room for the rest of the night. food and pee brakes was the only thing he came out for. I suggested that he write and apology note to the teacher and kid. And he tried his very first forgery note He attempted to make it look like I had written the note. It was HILARIOUS to read. First because we are still using alot of Phonic spelling ( how it was writen)
I.E > Dear Misses. Donely ( teacher MRS. DONNELLY)
Frum: Stasy
pleasxcusejamesonsfrumhisnotehefurgotitonthebusIhopthisnoteweelwurk.heisverysorythat hebroktherulezpleasdontbemad. and yes they were no spaces what so ever. I was laughing hysterically! ( poor kid actually thought his teacher would buy it)
He was so terrified all night. and woke up with the same dread on his face .So Paul talked with him as he got ready for school and told him what to expect in detention and after that day it was over with and to just except his punishment with his chin up! ( it was very cute) he was the only one in detention that day and had to write I WILL NOT THROW SNOW 30 times. . . he survived. But I bet money that he will never throw snow again.
Ethan however LOVES SCHOOL and will do anything to make the teacher proud. He goes to speech therapy twice week. and occupational therapy once a week. I have seen a great difference in his speach and even in his motors skills. Now I just need to figure out what to do with his attention span and he will be set to take off. That boy is just so sharp! the memory of an elephant! He just struggles to relay the info he knows! But I say he works the very hardest.LOVES school. . . . . . . .He has been my lovey boy. we could be in the middle of a grocery aisle and he'll grab my shirt and make me bend down just to give me a kiss on my cheek. It melts my heart!
So being a mom to say the least does not give very many dull moments.
tomorrow I have another house full of kids ( Katie is letting her kids come back!) and we are making sugar cookies. I'm sure there will be a story to tell . . . . .

You wouldn't believe how hard I laughed about Jamison's forged note. I literally was rolling on the ground. How do you discipline such funny kids?

We miss you guys! My comedic rantings often fall on deaf ears... I should just write down all the funny things I say and send them to you. I mean, didn't Jesus say not to hide my talents? =)

The kids have grown a lot since I've last seen them. They probably hardly remember us out here, but give them a big hug from us.

Way to go Jameson! Good job on following the family tradition of getting the teachers mad at you. I can see it now, one day Ethan will be in class and the first day they will call his name and ask him if he's Jamesons brother, and when he says yes she will say "why don't you come sit here in front of my desk" Poor Bryce, must of been hell for him to follow me through school!

So it turns out that is the lamest detention ever! I would have refused to send my kid to it. Who hasn't thrown a snowball? Furthermore. it's the teachers own fault for not giving him recesses to blow a little steam. I'm surprised he's been this good. I think he should give em hell until they change the rules.

I for one think he deserves a pat on the back for his accuracy! How many 1st graders do you know can actually hit what there aiming at? And another thing, forging a note in the first grade? Thats pure genius! I for one never tried that until at least the fourth or fifth grade. He's quite the resourceful kid.

Have you ever noticed how I am the only optimist in the family? You guys always see the negative things that he does and try so suppress his talents., while I always see the good and encourage him to keep striving to improve on what he enjoys. Like right now would be the perfect opportunity to teach him how to make the perfect snowball and more importantly learn how to time the throw so you don't get caught. Ugh, why did you guys have to move so far away. This kids are going to be seriously hindered in life due to the lack of a few good uncles to teach them the truly important things in life. Hopefully you will come back soon before it's to late. Well I miss you all and love ya
