Well...
I have come to grips the fact that my Honey do-list has now turned to a "Honey maybe next break" List. which is fine... This week was nothing short of a whirl wind. with plenty of surprises and disasters. Here are some of the things I learned and definetly surprised me.
1 - Husband is getting in the way of my" routine with out husband"... maybe it's best he stays in school, I am definitely used to doing things a certain way when he is gone.... and yet I still crave his presence when he isn't around .... and then want to send him away to do "busy work". when he follows me around the house!
2-"To do" list are highly over rated and I should just stick with my "If I feel like it" list.
3- Learning the circle of life in the back yard. Is too much for me... and apparently the baby batch of chipmunks... my dog snacked on!!!!!!! But if Jameson asks what happened the mommy chipmunk moved them to a safer location then the middle of the yard...(wink,wink)
4-Never let your husband name the chipmunks. . . Alvin,Simon &Theadore...(even if it is just to be funny!) until the dog is tied up and it looks like they had a fighting chance for life!
5-Not all Broadway musicals. are rated G.And there is no warning to highly Questionable material.(XXX) even if it is the BILLY JOEL "I'm moving out" OR at least be a warning when they turn a G play to a XXX play in a 2 min song... and then back to G for the rest of evening...
6- Shopping for clothes that make you look both skinny and non- hoeish sucks.
7- you can make a friend outfit work even if the are 5 in taller then you and are complete opposite of your body type. ( and still look good!)
8- if you mail your mother's mothers day card to your own address instead of hers.. . is that a sign that I have lot it completely?! And the only way I knew was because I was surprised to see a familiar envelope show up in my mail slot the day after I had mailed it!(it doesn't help my case does it?!)
9- Having your Girl(Katie) Moved to Florida in about a mo, hmm , The idea is really starting to suck. ( But I'm still not moving to Florida!) Vacation at your house right?
And last but not least....
10- Home made Mothers day cards and art work are by far the best gift ever! Who knew a little "hats of to mom" book could make a mommy cry...
And little flowers your Kindergarten grew at school for you are the best surprise ever... even when they give the same pot of flowers to you every day with a "happy mothers day mom." to go with it .... again.. and again... and again...and again! I adore them and there cute little gifts! It was a good mothers day!
I hate to say this just scratches the surface of my week... but all in all. I loved having my hubby home.. it is back to school this Monday. I hope everyone had a super Mothers day!!!!!!!
It was good to talk to my family I sure do miss everyone!
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quotes for the mommy's:
*When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. ~Sophia Loren, Women and Beauty
*Mother - that was the bank where we deposited all our hurts and worries. ~T. DeWitt Talmage
*Getting down on all fours and imitating a rhinoceros stops babies from crying. (Put an empty cigarette pack on your nose for a horn and make loud "snort" noises.) I don't know why parents don't do this more often. Usually it makes the kid laugh. Sometimes it sends him into shock. Either way it quiets him down. If you're a parent, acting like a rhino has another advantage. Keep it up until the kid is a teenager and he definitely won't have his friends hanging around your house all the time.

I absolutly loved this post!!! I laughed so hard! Particularly at the "finding clothes that make you look skinny but not hoeish" part!!! Oh how I miss you! I hope you had an amazing Mothers Day! I got to see your family yesterday at the Health Days parade....we all missed you, but it was so good to see them all! I haven't seen Hailey in so long, I can't believe how grown up she is!!!
That was too cute. I haven't mailed myself anything, YET. I have days where I swear I am past losing my mind, and wonder if the lord would ever trust me with more than one child. i think the more kids i have, the more forgetful i would become. maybe i should stop with one?
Hope you had a good mothers day. See you all in June
Damn girl. How the heck am I 'spose to create a page after that? you have a real talent for creating pages, writing and oh my "h" the photographs are rockin'. Miss you terribly...don't know if we'll get to play in June :( I'm trying!!! We miss you guys! Play hard! P.S. I am NOT happy with Veda....if I come again she will NOT be kissing me on the kisser
Wow!
What a week! Not that your life hasn't been a whirlwind for quite some time.
Yes, there's nothing better than home-made gifts.
And, congrats for getting a card in the mail! My mom had to settle for "I'm still working on it.. and sorry I didn't call". Thankfully, she's VERY forgiving. My fogetfulness has a long story behind it.
We'll have to hang out more to commiserate now that Katie is moving. Are you sure you won't move to Florida? It's beautiful and warm all year there...
