Christmas was a fun &Santa was kind.
Christmas was a success. It was a fun Mo. We had fun doing all the prep work and treat making. The kids were so excited for every step. And even on Christmas Eve they came in my room EARLY to let me know it was Christmas eve.
The kids did well Christmas eve.. yes, they were bouncing off the wall but I would be more worried and disappointed if they weren't. Surprisingly they went to sleep faster then expected which I appreciated very much.
Jameson woke up at 4 a.m. and came to get me to tell me he thinks for sure Santa had come cause he saw reindeer tracks out in the snow. ( well we did throw reindeer food out in the snow. it was too freak'n cold and windy to go all the way out to get it on the roof!) I was worried he would mosey on out to the front room so I pulled him into to our room, after restlessly toss and turn. I kicked him out and told him to get read in his room for at least another hour or so and I will come get him then.
(Santa didn't finish up putting together gifts until 1:30 a.m.)
Come 7:30 a.m I woke up and was surprised I was allowed to sleep that late. So we got up and got the kids. ( what's wrong with this picture here?)
All the kids were so excited, they hit their piles first. and we opened gifts soon after. Paul did a great job handing out presents.. He made Christmas morning last as long as he could.. opening present one by one and teasing the kids with a big long ..TTTOOOOO....??? and all the kids would tremble with excitement and point to themselves and inch their way closer to him.. Zoey kept saying "POr Zoey"!..... Ethan would throw his name in as soon as the word "To"was off Paul's lips and then if Paul confirmed it was for him he would do the Ethan Surge of excitement!! They all did really well waiting their turn the best they could.
They were excited for all the gifts weather it was for them or not.
Jameson kept saying We must have been really good if Santa brought us all this!!!!
Of course I had Mt. Dew in my stocking which made Jameson happy. ( heck. made me happy too!)
The whole family agreed it was a very good Christmas. And they all had fun with their new found treasures.
Unfortunately, I didn't feel all that hot so my desire to have tons of fun doing whatever they wanted to do was hard to keep going.. . but we managed and snuck a few new movies in when I needed to lay down. ( Movies are another tradition.. one to each person.)
I realized this Christmas season just how blessed we really are. And thank-full that we have been able to make Christmas such a fun time for everyone. The kids were so cute to remember that we were celebrating Christ birth even amidst all there new presents.
till next year.
