Paul came home this afternoon from his 3 day trip to Cleavland. ( business training) which I am very glad for. I was in need of my backup! You know I have gotten better about him being gone for long periods of time. In truth it's not much different then not seeing him til midnight due to school. only to wake up and watch him take off for work. ( admittedly I love having all the space in my bed all to myself!) But it was good to have him back. The boys were excited to see him.. Zoey well.. hmm.. lets just say she wouldn't even acknowledge his presence until he brought out the "princess beads"he picked up for her. she said thank-you but still wouldn't give him a kiss or hug. I feel so bad for him. But Jameson and Ethan were very excited to have their daddy home! And certainly missed him. I decided I am happy he is not a traveling salesmen or truck driver. I would go nuts! What can I say I just like him too much!
I got to talk to my parents last night. which was needed. I feel like I have started a terrible habit of venting my frustrations on them. They are so good at being my voice of reason. I so love my parents! I couldn't imagine how bad that would suck not to have them for all sorts of reasons. you know when I was younger I never thought I would say this. But I have the coolest parents ever! yay for me!!! All of the kids got to talk to my parents on the phone. Jameson was just so cute with them. he talked about all sorts of things. I asked if they still have the pool. and saying that he liked swimming in it when it's hot.( something like that.) then I heard this.... "so how you guys doing?" So grown up. It was just cute.
Ethan talked about his new girlfriend kiara... and how pretty she is.( I fear my romeo boys)
and Zoey just kept saying ( hey! what are you talking about?!) but that's what she always says!
This is what makes me miss being close to family the most. watching my kids with the grandparents. They just love going to grandma's and grandpa's. And I like it that way to! I am all for the bonding thing~
Queenie and Dwight are coming out to visit us at the end of the mo. and we are excited to see them. I am sure the kids will have a good time with them. I can't believe how long it's been! I think the last time we saw them was when Zoey was maybe 1 or 1 1/2! so almost two years! that I think is the hardest having Paul's family live so far apart. It's hard to get together. and always so much time in between. But we are glad and excited to see them and catch up and let the kids get some bonding time of course!
So what's my point of this blog.. simple ...... yay for family!
