So my husband rocks. He never ceases to amaze me with his thoughtfulness towards me and trying to find ways to spoil me or make me happy.
As most of everyone knows I do hair. My goal when I graduated was to build a salon in my house so I could keep close to the kids while bringing in a income. Of course that hasn't happened... yet.
We also talked many of times to set up a room where I could just do hair cuts etc. in. And stop doing it in my kitchen ( I soooo hate doing that!)
I went back and forth on the idea. And really couldn't decide weather I wanted to continue doing it or not. Sure I wanted it. But really, did I want to spend the money on it. And did I really want to start doing hair seriously again. ( sure I did haircuts for friends here and there. But usually never told people what my profession was.)
Well, Paul surprised me with a lump sum of cash with specific directions as to what it was to be spent on. We started planning how to move the kids rooms around and what I needed. And the fire was on!!!
I loved putting it together!! It is by far from finished. But the fact I have a designated room! YAY! no more hair in the kitchen!
And it has sort of rekindled my fire for doing hair. I've loved getting back into it. ( That and I think listening to Katie going thru the learning process of cosmetology school. Brings back the memories of excitement and passion for my trade.)
I hope thru time and hopefully enough business I can add to it and make it "official" and do a "Real" salon. But I am so excited to have this set up. I don't care if I do no one but family It is soo worth it.
Of course it has worked out ok, more of a" if you build it they will come".. and they are indeed coming. which is great!
I should say Zoey has Loved getting VIP treatment every morning doing her hair. ( I tried to do it with the boys.. They just don't care. And think it's torturous.)
Now...if someone could just do my hair!I need to give credit where credit is due: Zoey is sporting a fun style I found off of "She does Hair blog." If you have lil girls you need to check out my link ( Site's I play on often : my link is there.) So many fun & creative ideas.

How exciting!!! And fun. Hope it all turns out just the way you envision and that business booms.
I love Zoey's hair.
You deserve it! If you build it...and advertise it..they will come. Where exactly is this room? Props to Paul he deserves lots of luvin' and cheesecake!
YAY! I love the new caddy. I hope you can get your kitchen fixed up, and get a "portable" sink so you can really feel like it's a salon.
I take it your booster seat came in?
Zoë still loves her shorter hair. She's so proud of it!
I think I'm ready for a cut...
That is so great! To have your own little salon in your house is too cool. Nice job with the decor and tell Paul he is such a good husband.
Wow! What a thoughtful husband you have! That does look fun! Hopefully your business does continue to boom! Geez, if we were closer, I'd come to you too, I'm actually looking for someone right now! Good luck with that though!
That is sooo cool! It's so nice to have a mommy designated area in the house, that you can call your own!!!! Now.....just hide all the clippers from the kids right? LOL! P.s. I don't think I even knew you did hair, what the heck...hidden talents!!
Very Cool. I have hair now! I should fly out there to see if you've lost your touch or not.
About time there is pics up. I am so proud that you are doing hair again. I can't wait to have the licence to make it official. WTG girl
