cheap thrills for the kids

So as I was sitting in yet another dr. office waiting our turn to be seen, thumbing threw the family circle magazine I came across this idea, that I so have to share.
It's called the FOAMANATOR
It's fast
It's easy
It's not messy!
And it has kept my kids entertained for a while.
oh yeah, and it's FREE to do!

I took pictures of the kids having fun with it, but I can't find my reader so I'm going to still the cute lil models from the magazine until I find it.

All ya need is:
an empty plastic bottle.
pair of scissors.
a dish towel, ( I used my collection of mis matched sox. that way I didn't have to cut a perfectly good towel up)
rubber band ( yes even hair bands work.)
dish soap and a lil water in a very shallow bowl.

Cut the very bottom of the bottle off, place the towel or sock around it and secure with rubber band.
dip into dish soap solution and let the kids have at it.
( I said to blow it like they would a balloon, so the suds didn't go the wrong way!)
Trust me on this one, it's a cheap thrill that has lasted quite awhile! and it really isn't very messy. ( I think real bubbles are worse.)
Just thought I would help out all the moms with bored kids!

I saw these in that magazine while sitting a waiting room! I made them last week for Damon, but wish I would have thought of the mis-matched sock idea instead of using a towel. Good thinking! Did you see the homemade "ocean"? We did that one, too. And I'm going to try the ribbon pillow.

Awesome! We will have to try that one. You know how I don't like messy. This looks good though
