I thought I better not wait any longer to get Ethan's Birthday up here.
Ethan turned 7 on July 11th. And can I just tell you that was a 7 mo. Count down!! It was torture for him to get to July. Watching every one's Birthday come before yours!
My parents had a lil birthday bash for him while we were out there. And that just made his whole Day. He kept saying "Happy Birthday Party to me!"
On his Actual Birthday We took him to the "splash pad" ( Kennedy pool) Which is a knee deep pool with a big playground in the middle with some fun water spouting toys attached. He really liked that although I couldn't get him to go down the lil slide for anything. He had the most fun stopping up the water tunnels and then letting them go once they were overflowing. He is still a cautious player even in shallow water. He kept to ankle deep area most of the time.
But he had a really fun time and they played for hours.
Unfortunately since I had never been I didn't take my camera for fear of it getting wet or stolen. SO I have not pictures of that.
He chose a Transformer Cake for his B-day and was sooooo excited for that!We did cake and presents that evening and he was content to play with his new toys the rest of the night. His big exciting toys were the bumble bee helmet, and transformer walkie talkies. and a few character shirts that I now have to threaten to hide if he doesn't take them off after the second day of wearing!
All day he would ask odd favors from Jameson and when Jameson looked at him weird and said no, he would be quick to remind him that it's HIS birthday! He was trying to milk all the favors he could get on his day!
He wanted Paul to carry him to the car after swimming, when Paul told him no and he could walk, He quickly reminded him that it was HIS birthday.
It made me smile. I was happy to see him finally get to HIS day. He said that this was the best birthday ever! ( he said that about his "birthday party" too.) And asked if it could be his birthday tomorrow too. I said NO! and he has 12 mo. till his next birthday.
The next day he wanted to Change the calender to Aug. Since his birthday was over,which apparently meant so was July.

What a smart kid for milking the favors! Thats too funny that he wanted to be carried to the car. Glad he had a great day. I'm sure the wait for his special day was torture.
You're so good to only talk about Ethan's birthday, and not the fact that you got such a horrible sunburn that you weren't able to walk for almost a week!
Ethan is so clever! I love how he has such a quiet, but quick wit about him. Happy Birthday, dude1
